Anny Osabutey is a Senior Broadcaster with Ghana’s leading Radio station, Multimedia’s Joy FM. A 2012 CNN African Journalist Award winner (Radio), Osabutey is also a keen blogger and trainer, focusing on development issues.
His outstanding skills include writing news and feature articles, radio documentaries and research.
A fellow of the Deutsche Welle Akademie in Germany, Anny also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has written for a number of newspapers and magazines including African Agenda, Third World Network, Business Magazine, JIVE, and the Swedish magazine, Omvalden.
Prior to joining Multimedia, Osabutey was reporter and Editor at the dailyEXPRESS for almost four years. He has also written and researched for the Washington Post and the BBC.

He helped produce the successful two-part BBC Panorama documentaries, “Europe or Die Trying” and “Bitter Sweet,’ which explored the use of children in cocoa growing areas in West Africa, especially Ghana and Ivory Coast.
Osabutey, (first names: Joshua Anny) famously described himself to CNN as “a journalist, blogger and tweet addict who stumbled upon journalism after an argument with a colleague over orange pricing.”
